Fearless Fighter
It is with our heavy hearts that we announce that Tara Jeanne Hill has passed away on June 7th, 2017 - after her 3 1/2-year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma.
Tara wrote. “In March of 2014, when I was first diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, my heart was set on healing my body through natural treatments. My mom and I dove into every natural website, eBook, and article we could find. We even found local professionals who helped us with this. We wanted so badly for this success story to end this way, but God has other plans.”
God has other plans indeed.
Tara went into her surgery with high hopes and remained positive until the end, however, she was never able to fully recover. After many days in the hospital, it was discovered that the cancer had metastasized into her lymphatic system as well as into her lungs, causing malignant pleural effusion. Despite having a drainage system in place from surgery, the fluid was continuing to build up into her lungs. She remained on mechanical ventilation (life support) to assist her breathing with hopes that her lungs would recover and “dry out”. Tara had put up a strong fight until her very last breath. We as a family could no longer watch her suffer anymore. It was determined by the doctors that she was no longer able to recover. We made the most difficult decision to discontinue life support. As Tara took her last breaths, she passed away peacefully at 4:42 p.m. surrounded by her family.
I’ve learned so much from Tara. It was such a blessing to be her mom. She was truly my best friend. I’ll never forget her and I already miss her so much. She repeated to herself often, "I am fearless". She was fearless; the most fearless person by far. Now she is set free. Tara’s life is truly inspiring and we wish to continue her legacy by celebrating her life through this blog, with the hopes that other charitable aspects will soon be born. Thank you so much for being part of this journey. She truly wanted to share so much with you and it will be my pleasure to continue to share her with you. Her light shines on…still.
